This is my 15th post for this month .. this portrays how tensed I am this month.. Having a lot of things to do is nothing.. I have expected it before hand.. but when you work in a so-not-happy mood.. the energy consumed is double.. triplet.. quadrplet.. watever they wanna call it.. aku ni extrovert person.. kalo aku x suka tu, mmg nampak sgt kt muka aku nii.. aku x reti la nak sorok...
itu la kelemahan aku.......arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh

dalam 2 hari ni aku sound aku nye lead sesuka aku je .. geram la dia tu.. lembik.. x tau nk protect engineer sendiri..
disebabkan dia la.. mamat S tu buleh attack kiterang ni.. tp after the confrontation aritu. aku dgn selambanye ckp kt mamat S tu aku x leh terima kalo dia dtg kt aku direct n buat casual check . aku lebih rela di casual check dengan supervisor aku ngn discipline lead aku.. so far after the big complaining part, discipline lead aku da berubah sikit la. aku happy sikit nk compare dgn before this.. and he support me too.. thank you.. please stay the same.. hehe..

My Life as A PE

my monday..

today was a normal day for me.. things are starting to get normal. until that stupid him bothered me.. asking me stupid questions. i dun give a damn. i purposely did not answer his stupid question.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... being me, i cannot hide my dislikes.. to anybody in my life.. that is so not me.. what you can see from my face actually reflects what's inside. it's either i put it in words or not.. being hypocrit is not my style..

i got a so called assistant today. a guy.. younger than me.. when new guys come in i kinda feel like in rage as such my fren didn't manage to join.. lame xcuse.. once she told me.. it actually was.. hmm wat to do... my first impression on him was.. byk cakap la dia ni.. i dun like people talk too much. even i do.. you see, when it involves two person, there must be a listener. one talks, n the other listens.. honestly, i dun like people who likes to argue, with the attitude namely "know it all"...... juz hate it... that's y most of my best frens are not that talkative. they are smart though.. mcm julie, aina, rina.... rindunye kt derangggg...

during lunch today, went out to pj section 8. i ate mee bandung muar.. been longing for it since last year.. long time no see... i think i ate kinda too much of food today.. went for dinner with my fren... mushroom soup.. wow.. it was on her.. yeahh.. tried to go for massage but makcik wasn't at home.. aiyoo.. my foot is swelling.. i fell last nite.. woke up this morning feeling so so so hungry.. it must be my antibody working hard while i was sleeping last nite.. whole body aching.. huhu.. i laughed at myself after falling.. hahaha...

starting tomorrow, i am splitted into two.. multi tasking.. have to design those auxiliary cabs. it's gonna be achallenge.. will do my bestt....till then.. bye

A Walk to Remember

Yesterday was a normal working hours for me.. penat x penat, what needs to be done, needs to be done.. Tired but i enjoyed myself.. It's a great satisfaction when we fulfill our responsibilities..

Today is sunday, staying at home is the most enjoyable task for me now.. had breakfast with my father... mcm bese la.. to see my dad i had to make an appointment.. our "tempat biasa" is at the mamak's place at some corner nearby.. my dad doesn't talk much.. so normally we will have breakfast.. and he will flip thru the newspaper, i think about 2 or 3 rounds.. juz to let the time pass by.. the main topic of our conversation wud be the topics in the newspaper.. sometimes i feel like my father is testing my general knowledge.. haha.. and at most of the time, i dunno wat's he talking about.. haha..

despite of all the quietness, "dunno wat to talk about" conversation, i had the most meaningful time of the week. juz by sitting there with my dad. it's been .. 4 years i stay near my dad's .. one wud think that is so convenient.. hmm to tell u the truth.. it gets complicated day after day.. seeing my father is like a businesswoman seeing her client.. appointments are needed. i cannot juz go to my dad's house to see him.. some imigration check needs to go thru..

after breakfast, had a short walk with my dad to nearest store to reload our handphones... hehe.. my dad said,"YA je la ayah boleh harap..."

aiyoyo.. i was so touched... in my life, the topic AYAH is THE MOST SENSITIVE THING to me.. the same goes to my dad. His children is THE MOST SENSITIVE THING to him.. so sensitive that almost made us speechless. Don't ever talk bad bout my dad in front of me. My dad is not perfect. as a matter of fact he did so many things that one could not accept. there's no doubt that i sometimes feel angry with him. but.. i love my dad... that's all i can say.. tell me everything BAD abut him, yes, my feelings to him will not be the same, yet the love will juz get stronger..

DID I MARRY THE RIGHT PERSON?

During one of our seminars, a woman asked a common question.
She said, "How do I know if I married the right person?"

I noticed that there was a large man sitting next to her so I said,
"It depends. Is that your husband?"

In all seriousness, she answered "How do you know?"

Let me answer this question because the chances are
good that it's weighing on your mind.

Here's the answer.

EVERY relationship has a cycle. In the beginning, you fell in love with your spouse. You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked their idiosyncrasies.

Falling in love with your spouse wasn't hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience.
You didn't have to DO anything. That's why it's called "falling" in love... Because it's happening TO YOU.


People in love sometimes say, "I was swept of my feet." Think about the imagery of that _expression. It implies that you were just standing there;
doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU.

Falling is love is easy. It's a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few years of marriage, the euphoria of love fades. It's the natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse's idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, drive you nuts.

The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you think about your marriage, you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much duller or even angry subsequent stage.

At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking, "Did I marry the right person?" And as you and your spouse reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when marriages breakdown. People blame their spouse for their unhappiness and look outside their marriage for fulfillment.

Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work,a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances.

But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage. It lies within it.

I'm not saying that you couldn't fall in love with someone else. You could.

And TEMPORARILY you'd feel better. But you'd be in the same situation a few years later. Because (listen carefully to this):


THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE
RIGHT PERSON; IT'S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.

SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It'll NEVER
just happen to you. You can't "find" LASTING love. You have to "make" it
day in and day out. That's why we have the _expression "the labor of love."

Because it takes time, effort, and energy. And most importantly, it takes WISDOM. You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work.

Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your marriage.

Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. Just as the right diet and exercise program makes you physically stronger, certain habits in your relationship WILL make your marriage stronger. It's a direct cause and effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable...you can "make" love.

Love in marriage is indeed a "decision"... Not just a feeling.

Megastructures

When most people think of worlds, they think of big balls of rock or gas orbiting a star. Variations usually tend toward strange atmospheres, odd compositions, or exotic native life. One world might have a crimson sky and a dozen moons; another with a vibrant ring system may be locked in a perpetual ice age.

But these are only worlds as nature might make them. Just as mankind has created new, artificial chemical elements, so too is it possible for the human race to eventually create entirely new classes of worlds. Worlds that may stretch around planets or trap the energy output of entire stars. Worlds that may challenge the scale of the universe.

These new worlds are immense artifacts collectively known as megastructures.

This article is an overview of the many types of megastructures that have been featured in science fiction stories over the years. Megastructures are easily one of the most awe-inducing concepts in speculative fiction, and the musings of various creators have given birth to a startling variety of them.

Definition

Basically, a megastructure is defined as any single artifact that challenges human preconceptions of size. A modern city may not be considered a megastructure because it is composed of many smaller buildings. The Great Wall of China, however, could be considered one, because it is a single, unified structure.

Rationale

Megastructures require vast amounts of material, capital, manpower, energy, and logistic planning to construct. Some may take decades, centuries, or even thousands of years to construct. So why bother building one at all?

For some, form follows function. Some feats can't be performed by anything except the very large. Space elevators, for example, need to be tens of thousands of kilometers in length in order to propel cargoes into orbit. In order to trap all of the sun's radiative energy, a structure as large as a Dyson sphere is a necessity. The enormous expenditure of building such structures may be mitigated by the valuable services and resources they can provide.

Another reason to construct one may be as simple as the need for living space. Interstellar travel may turn out to be impractical because of one circumstance or another, meaning we may be forever trapped within our own star system. Unless draconian measures of control are used, burgeoning growth will eventually outstrip the capacity of terrestrial worlds to support their populations. However, if a civilization were to convert all of the material in the system to the job of supporting life, by creating the vast habitable surface area of, say, a Ringworld or Dyson sphere, the problem could be circumvented.

In some cases, as in Niven's Ringworld and Malibu Comics's Godwheel, larger megastructures may be used as enormous life and cultural laboratories. Specimens from many thousands of worlds can be held and studied in detail on the vast surface of the artifact. Sociological and biological experiments can be conducted on a grand scale without endangering the source stock on distant homeworlds.

A megastructure can also act as a means of preserving or protecting a culture from disasters or outside influence. In the novels Farthest Star and Wall Around a Star by Frederick Pohl and Jack Williamson, a Dyson sphere is used as an intergalactic lifeboat to transport survivors away from an exploding galaxy. On a smaller scale, space-borne O'Neill Colonies could be used as refuges for cultures that wish to retain their ideological "purity" away from outside contact yet still remain self-sufficient.

But perhaps the most significant reason to build a megastructure is to simply prove that one can, to create some lasting and unforgettable monument to the power and ingenuity of its builders.

A number of megastructures, such as space elevators, rotovators, and O'Neill colonies, have already been discussed in detail in previous Strange Horizons articles. Links are provided at the end of this article.

Arcologies

The term "arcology" is a fusion of the words "architecture" and "ecology," first coined by Paolo Soleri in his landmark 1969 book, Arcology: City in the Image of Man. Arcologies have also been incorporated into many science fiction works since, such as the movie Blade Runner and novels like Neuromancer by William Gibson and Oath of Fealty by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle.

Arcologies are envisioned as optimal human urban environments; large, self-enclosed mega-skyscrapers with volumes measured in the cubic kilometers that contain everything a human population could ever need. They would be miniature cities onto themselves, engineered for maximum comfort and efficiency. The structure would not only supply living space but would have its own commercial, industrial, and business districts. A resident would not only live within the structure, but also commute and work and shop all within its enclosed walls. The interior would also be configured with a great many windows, parks, and mirrors to give the illusion of much greater space in individual hallways and chambers.

Because space within the structure is used much more efficiently, an arcology would require only about two percent as much land as a modern city of equivalent population. Actual living space per person would be about the same, but the support structure can be built on a much more efficient three-dimensional scale, and the need for road infrastructure (which can consume as much as sixty percent of the space of modern urban sprawls) would be eliminated altogether. Arcologies of many different configurations have been proposed, many able to hold up to half a million residents or more.

Though arcologies today are seen primarily as an urban development, they can be built for nearly any environment. Cliffside arcologies, farmland arcologies, and even dam arcologies have all been proposed. Many see the development and perfection of Earth-bound arcologies as a necessary first step for engineering livable colonies in the oceans and in space.

Wanita Itu Cantik

Seorang anak laki-laki kecil bertanya kepada ibunya "Mengapa engkau menangis?"

"Kerana aku seorang wanita", kata sang ibu kepadanya.

"Aku tidak mengerti", kata anak itu.

Ibunya hanya memeluknya dan berkata, "Dan kau tak akan pernah mengerti"

Kemudian anak laki-laki itu bertanya kepada ayahnya, "Mengapa ibu suka menangis tanpa alasan?"

"Semua wanita menangis tanpa alasan", hanya itu yang dapat dikatakan oleh ayahnya.

Anak laki-laki kecil itu pun lalu tumbuh menjadi seorang laki-laki dewasa, tetap ingin tahu mengapa wanita menangis.

Akhirnya ia menghubungi Tuhan, dan ia bertanya, "Tuhan, mengapa wanita begitu mudah menangis?"

Allah berfirman:


"Ketika Aku menciptakan seorang wanita, ia diharuskan untuk menjadi seorang yang istimewa. Aku membuat bahunya cukup kuat untuk menopang dunia; namun, harus cukup lembut untuk memberikan kenyamanan "

It's 630 am friday in the morning.. aku mmg x leh lena sgt. semalam EM dtg jumpa kiterang.. skip level miting konon.. actually miting semalam sebab last week me n my colleagues miting ngn OM(operation manager) pasal ketidakpuasan hati. after treated like military cadets..kiterang komplen pasal EM (eng manager) tu.. we are all first timers.. aku buat dokumen aku x pernah aku suh drafter print out selagi lead aku @ mentor aku x approve. yg herannnye b4 submit kt client, bukannnye nak review.. main sign aje..

bila kena bambu ngn client, barula terhegeh hegeh nak salah kan PE(project engineer) ..masu ksorang - sorang dlm bilik miting bwk dokumen.. siap kena panggil sampah lagi.. masih terngiang ngiang phrases like .."You are slow.. / ur work is ur food.."

ohh i feel so underrated ... but byk hikmah after kejadian tu. ni dah nk masuk minggu ke 4 after the tragedy.. among us the PEs. kiterang semakin bersatu hati.. n kiterang makin faham la keje=keje engineering ni.. coz not all of us are from eng background... byk yg IT.. mamat EM ni dah bnyk bikin sampah kt honeywell.. ms jadi boss kt kemaman, 9 org berhenti keje. dah kena sound ngn singapore, lagi mau buat hal.. his replacement have to cuci all his sampah.. i heard now, his replacement pun da quit.. aiyoyo.. chaos la honeyhell ni..

aku x sangka ade org mcm ni dlm bidang yang so called professional n ternama la konon.. honeywell is an international company.. i'm so surprised this unprofessionalisme and disorientation in project management can happen.. bukan nye 1st time wat projek besar.. aduu...

ntah la.. bg aku skrg.. bila suma benda ni jadi.. it just boosts up my enthusiasisme to work harder/smarter.. coz this is the path i've chosen. and there's no turning back.. i'll do my best...
